Teaching Basic Writing Skills presents strategies for teaching expository writing in every content
area from the primary grades through high school. Instructional guidelines are presented
for developing complex sentences, outlining, writing paragraphs and compositions, and
revising and editing. Teaching Basic Writing Skills can be implemented in general classrooms
as well as special education settings. Instruction can be adapted for large classrooms,
resource rooms, or tutorials.
