The Key Three Routine™ provides flexible comprehension strategies that can be used
in content-area classrooms. This resource can also be used as a supplemental reading
comprehension system for students with reading difficulties.
The Key Three Routine emphasizes three active reading and writing skills: identifying and
stating main ideas, taking notes, and summarizing. These skills are combined into a series
of five research-based activities that can be used by content-area teachers. The program
features numerous examples and practice exercises, including opportunities to develop
customized activities from reading materials used in the teacher’s own classroom. |
