These IntelliTools Classroom Suite activities provide practice in phonemic awareness in three of the identified target skills using an explicit method of instruction.

Students practice sound isolation, phoneme segmentation and blending in a consistent format. The format of the civilities for initial and blending individual sounds is similar to those used in the DIBELS initial sound fluency assessment and blending individual sounds assessment.

Strategic feedback is provided for each response using systematic error correction in which the student is provided with the information on his response and then the correct response.

There are 7 units, each with 7 activities that students can practice initial sounds, blending individual sounds and segmenting.

NOTE: A licensed IntelliTools Classroom Suite 3.2 must be installed to run the Phonemic Awareness Activities.
